The Very Revd. Bishop Chrysostomos (Mavroyannopoulos) of Kyanea

His Grace Bishop Chrysostomos was born on the Greek island of Naxos in 1927. Having first completed a degree in Law, he graduated from the School of Theology of the University of Athens in 1952. He was ordained to the diaconate on January 18, 1952, and to the priesthood on December 14, 1954. On December 19, 1970, he was consecrated bishop of Kyanea. He has been based at the Cathedral since 1961 and acts as the chairman of the Cathedral Trust.



The Revd. Archimandrite Chrysostomos Michaelides

Fr Chrysostomos was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1966. Before his ordination to the diaconate on November 17, 1996, he received the monastic schema. On October 29, 2000, he was ordained to the holy priesthood and elevated to the rank of Archimandrite and father of confession. He holds a BA in Theology from the University of Thessaloniki and an MA in Systematic Theology from King’s College London (University of London). He also has a degree in Byzantine chant from the Macedonian Conservatoire in Thessaloniki.


The Revd. Presbyter Kristian Akselberg

Fr Kristian was born in Oslo, Norway, in 1987. He was ordained to the diaconate on December 15, 2013, and to the priesthood on May 11, 2014. He holds a BA Hons in the Study of Religions from the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London) and an MSt in Patristic Theology from Pembroke College (University of Oxford), where he is currently reading for a DPhil in Theology.
